Updates and new features

Purplemet Cloud 1.30.0 is now available! This new version features several updates and enhancements compared to the previous version, as described hereafter.

Domains – New Compliance Widgets

The Domains dashboard has been reorganized and enhanced to provide a unified view of security policy compliance. Two new widgets now replace the previous components:

DNS Hardening Compliance

This widget shows the compliance status of DNS hardening. It replaces the previous individual DNS-related widgets and offers a consolidated view that is clearer and more consistent.

Mail Hardening Compliance

A new view dedicated to mail hardening makes it possible to assess the configuration of email security mechanisms, including TLS, Certificates, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, DANE.

These two widgets redefine how a domain’s security posture is evaluated and provide a more structured and immediate view of areas for improvement.

IP Addresses – Threat Level & Additional Columns

Explanations for IPs Without a Threat Level

A contextual explanation is now displayed when no Threat Level is available for an IP address. Purplemet now clearly specifies the possible reasons (private, local, reserved IP, etc.) on the detail page, as well as an “N/A” indicator with a tooltip in the inventory. This improvement clarifies the meaning of a missing Threat Level.

New Type & Version Information

Two new columns are now available in the IP address inventory:

  • Type
  • Version (IPv4 / IPv6)

IP Addresses – Sensitive Services Overview

The IP address dashboard now includes a new widget showing the most frequently detected sensitive services across the entire IP addresses. This component lists the services identified as sensitive along with the number of associated IP addresses, making it easier to quickly identify the most critical network exposures.

Report Exports – Mail Hardening, Sensitive Services & Open Ports

All Purplemet reports have been updated to reflect the new information already available in the interface:

Mail Hardening Items Added to Domain Reports

The following sections are now included in Domain reports when they are enabled in the report configuration:

  • TLS
  • Certificates
  • MTA-STS
  • TLS-RPT
  • DANE

These items appear within existing sections, without creating a new dedicated block, in order to keep a layout consistent with DNS Hardening.

Sensitive Services Added to Reports

Reports now include the number of sensitive services detected:

  • In Web Applications (Domain Reports & Webapp Reports)
  • In IPs (Threat Review & IP Summary)
  • In Certificates (Webapp Sections)
  • In Tags (Web Application Sections)

Open Ports Added to IP Reports

IP reports now show:

  • The total number of open ports in the IP Summary section
  • A new dedicated section, titled Open Ports, listing the open ports detected for the relevant IP address

This new section improves the readability and completeness of the network information presented in the reports.

Additional Updates

  • User exports now include many additional fields to better understand activity, authentication, and account status.
  • Several improvements have been made to SSO authentication. These improvements provide a clearer, more reliable, and more consistent experience when using SSO authentication.
  • Renaming of the “Administration Console Pages” Datalist Widget. The Administration Console Pages section has been renamed to Login Consoles to better reflect its actual usage within the platform and to improve navigation consistency.
